About Prop Terminal

What Prop Terminal is

Prop Terminal is an independent comparison site for futures prop trading firms. We track 9 firms — Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Take Profit Trader, Tradeify, FundedNext Futures, Bulenox, Lucid Trading, and TradeDay — and lay out their specs side by side so you can compare them on the things that actually matter: drawdown model, profit split, eval price, payout speed, consistency rules, daily loss limits, account limits, platforms, and whether algos and US traders are allowed.

It's for the trader trying to choose a firm without wading through a dozen marketing pages. Whether you're after the longest track record, the fastest payouts, an instant-funding option, or a firm that explicitly permits automated strategies, the goal is the same: give you the confirmed facts in one place, plainly, and let you decide.

We are not a prop firm. We don't run evaluations, hold your capital, or process your trades. We're an independent resource that compares the firms that do.

How we research firms

Every spec we publish is source-checked against each firm's own materials. We record concrete, verifiable details — the founding year, the drawdown type, the profit split, the eval price for a 50K account, payout methods and speeds, consistency percentages, contract limits, supported platforms — rather than vibes.

Firm rules change, sometimes substantially. Apex rebuilt its rules in 2026; MyFundedFutures retired its old Starter/Expert/Milestone plans in July 2025 for a five-plan system; Topstep lowered payout caps for accounts opened after 28 April 2026; FundedNext added a Flex plan in May 2026; TradeDay restructured into FastPass and QuickPay in June 2026. Because this churn is constant, we flag where details are subject to change and tell you to verify the current terms on the official site before you buy. When a number isn't independently confirmed, we say so rather than guessing.

No fabricated star ratings

You will not find editor-invented star ratings on Prop Terminal that pretend to be precise scores we made up out of thin air. We don't manufacture a rating to fill a column or to nudge you toward a firm that pays us.

The reason is simple: a number that isn't grounded in something real is just an opinion wearing a costume. We'd rather show you the underlying facts — the drawdown mechanics, the split structure, the payout cadence, the watch-outs — and let those speak. Our written reviews are candid about trade-offs, including the unflattering ones: an 80/20 split that sits below the field standard, a funded stage that switches to harder intraday trailing, a starting split as low as 50%, or a firm so new its track record is short by definition. The data and the cautions don't change based on who's paying.

How we make money

Prop Terminal is free to read, and we're upfront about how it's funded. There are three revenue streams:

1) Affiliate / referral links. Some links to firms are referral links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through them. These are marked rel="sponsored". They never change a firm's specs, our review, or where it ranks on the underlying data.

2) Paid "Featured" placements. A firm can pay to be featured, in which case it's pinned toward the top of the list with a clearly visible "Featured" label. Featured status is always labelled and always separate from the data — it does not alter a firm's specs, its review, or any rule we report. A paid placement buys visibility, not a better write-up.

3) Pro subscription. We offer an optional Pro subscription at $14/month, billed through Stripe. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe — the site never sees or stores your card number.

We also run a free "Deal Alerts" email newsletter for sale and promo notifications; emails are collected and managed through Kit (kit.com). For analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly, cookieless, and aggregate-only — no personal profiles, no tracking you across the web. The site is hosted on Vercel. Sponsorship or listing inquiries, corrections, and anything else can go to contact.fredent@gmail.com.

Not financial advice

Everything on Prop Terminal is informational only. Nothing here is financial, investment, or trading advice, and nothing should be taken as a recommendation to buy a specific firm's evaluation or to trade futures at all.

Prop trading carries real risk, firm rules change frequently, and the right choice depends on your own circumstances. Always confirm the current terms on a firm's official site before you purchase, and make your own decisions. If you need advice, talk to a qualified professional.
